Former Governor Siegelman to Stay in Jail

Former Alabama Govnernor Don Siegelman will remain in jail, after a federal judge denied his appeals bond, Wednesday afternoon.

US District Judge Mark Fuller issued a thirty page opinion along with his decision. Judge Fuller stated there was not enough evidence to show Siegelman would be capable of winning an appeal. Siegelman and former HealthSouth CEO, Richard Scrushy, were convicted last year for bribery and government corruption.
