I hope your week is off to a good start. Last week, I was out for two days suffering from the flu bug that is circulating around our newsroom. I didn't get to workout like I really wanted to last week since I spent an extreme amount of time in bed. (SMILE) I did find out a little secret on how to sweat the bug out of my system. A personal trainer at Gold's Gym Elite told me to go inside the dry sauna and sweat. So Friday afternoon, I sat inside the sauna for about 15 to 20 minutes. Then I left the gym...of course taking my mother's advice of bundling up after I left. I went home and took a long nap. The next morning I woke up...fever free and feeling 100% better. (SMILE) So if you are dealing from the bug this week... try out this tip and tell me how it makes you feel. Also, while I was sick I lost about 5 to 6 pounds. So I have to say being sick was not the end of the world. I think that was the case because I only ate the famous chicken noodle soup.
Right now, I am back in the swing of working out. I will be taking spinning a lot this week. I have kind of slacked off in the past few weeks, but I am trying to get myself back on track. I can tell you losing weight is not the easiest thing to do. My weight has been yo-yoing. My current weight loss percentage is about 12 percent. I am strictly watching what I eat this week and even adding in more exercise...so we will see how it works out when I step on the scale next week.
If you have any good recipes, weight loss tips, or even motivational poems/messages...send them my way. I really need them right now as I push towards my goal. I am praying I reach my goal by early summer. I want to show off my new physique on the beach.
