Mar. 28, 2008

COLUMBUS, Ga.  (WTVM) - Friday afternoon the flags at Doctors Hospital were at half staff in memory of two employees who were shot Thursday afternoon.

The two victims are 44-year-old Peter Wright a charge nurse, and 44 year-old administrative assistant Leslie Harris.  Dr. Miranda Edwards knew both men and say they were both remarkable human beings.  "Peter was an excellent nurse.  He was a great person who was always ready do all he could for others," said Edwards.

A hospital spokesman told us Wright had been with Doctors Hospital for 11 years.  Leslie Harris joined the staff as an administrative assistant just a few years ago.

Edwards said it was Harris who helped her get her practice up and running.  "Leslie was always willing to help me.  He volunteered with me when I began my practice.  He was just a blessing to me and my practice," she said.
