OPELIKA, Ala (WXTX) - Members of the Army Reserve's 206th Transportation Company are due back on Alabama soil this weekend after serving 12 months in Iraq.

Army officials said the unit's 60 soldiers are currently at Fort Bragg, N.C., completing necessary paperwork for the return to civilian life. Busses carrying the soldiers will arrive in Opelika Saturday evening.

City officials say a welcome home celebration will start as soon as they arrive in front of the Veterans Memorial Monument at City Hall.
