COLUMBUS, Ga. (WXTX)--Four suspects are behind bars, charged in the double murder of a Harris County couple.
Sunday afternoon, Harris County Sheriff's Deputies found Jerry and Sherlene Church dead inside their Waverly Hall home, beaten to death.
Investigators say the couple had been dead since Friday night, and robbery was the motive in their killing.
Investigators already arrested 21-year old Kevin Thomas McKay of Dover, Delaware over the weekend.
McKay was found Saturday morning after he crashed the Church's stolen 2004 Chrysler Seabring on Georgia Highway 18.
Investigators say he was intoxicated, and had a small amount of marijuana on him, as well as the Church's Wachovia Debit cards.
On Monday, a second suspect, 19-year-old Derrick Cox of Harris County, was picked up by Troup County Sheriff's Deputies, driving the Church's other stolen car, a Nissan Frontier.
Two other juveniles are also in custody, but their names cannot be released because of their age.
Investigators say the four boys had broken into a building on the Church's property Friday night, and got drunk with the couple's alcohol.
They then decided to rob the couple...but ended up killing them too.
None of the boys are related to the Churches.
