Quality and compassion. You see it in the way we care for our patients at St. Francis Hospital everyday. A reputation of excellence and service have been a tradition at St. Francis Hospital since its doors opened in Columbus, Georgia in 1950. Through the years, St. Francis has remained true to its mission of responding to the needs of our community. In return, our community has entrusted their families' care to St. Francis and, year after year, refer to St. Francis as their "Hospital of Choice" in this area.
In 2007-2008 that reputation was re-confirmed when St. Francis was named the "Consumer Hospital of Choice" by the National Research Corporation for the third consecutive year. St. Francis ranked higher than any other hospital in Columbus on four out of four primary categories: best overall quality, best nurses, best doctors, and best reputation/image. Though this is the 11th year that NRC has presented the Consumer Hospital of Choice Award to hospitals across the country, it is the first time they have presented it to a hospital in Columbus, making St. Francis the first local winner.
Our job now is to continue to legacy and remain committed to our patients and our community. One way we do that is through the services we provide. St. Francis is a 376-bed facility, offering a full range of inpatient, outpatient and emergency room services as well as the Bradley Center, a mental health facility. Both are JCAHO-accredited and nationally recognized in several areas. Additionally, 60 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments for assisted living are available at Franciscan Woods, an assisted living community in north Columbus. We are also touching lives at the Patrick Heart Institute of St. Francis, St. Francis Orthopaedic Institute, St. Francis Spine and Neurosurgery Center, St. Francis Center for Surgical Care, St. Francis Rehabilitation Center, The Elena Diaz-Verson Amos Center for Breast Health, St. Francis Center for Digestive Disorders, Home Medical Equipment of St. Francis and many other services in the St. Francis continuum of care.
St. Francis, a community owned, Catholic healing ministry, exists to provide exceptional health care services in partnership with physicians, for all of those in need.
