Where were you when our nation was attacked?

September 11, 2001, a date that will forever be etched in our minds.

Our homeland was put on the forefront of terror as two planes crashed into the World Trade Center Towers, and one into the Pentagon. A fourth plane, carrying brave passengers crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. The passengers on that plane gave their lives and thwarted a massive terror plot.

The whole world froze, seemingly helpless, while brave men and women saved innocent lives.

Later that year on December 18th, the United States Congress designated September 11 as 'Patriot Day'.

On Thursday, our nation will remember that solemn moment when our homeland security was threatened.

WTVM.com has created a message board where you can share your thoughts on that day.

What were you doing? Do you think our nation will ever be safe? Have we as a nation, or even locally, made any changes to ensure homeland security? How did this event affect you personally?
