COLUMBUS, GA. (WTVM) - Columbus police are still searching for a bank robbery suspect after searching Ft. Benning for hours Wednesday. The armed robbery happened around 9:15 Wednesday morning at a bank on Macon Road. Columbus Police say an armed suspect robbed the Regions Bank, and then fled to the Fort Benning area where schools were put on lockdown.

Columbus Police describe the suspect as a black male in his late 20's to early 30's, wearing a blue hoodie, sweat pants, and a gray T-shirt. All the schools on Ft.
