Students Charged for Picketing

COLUMBUS, GA (WXTX) -  Two high school students have been charged with unlawful assembly/disorderly conduct following a peaceful protest in front of Jordan High School.

Muscogee County Schools says, 11 students were involved in a picket across the street from Jordan High School.

The students were allegedly rioting for a teacher accused of having sex with a fellow classmate.

Muscogee County Schools confirms an allegation was made against the teacher, and adds school administrators report such allegations to DFCS and police.

We're told Muscogee County Schools doesn't discuss personnel issues.
