Couple Charged in Trafficking Meth

RUSSELL CO., AL (WXTX) - A big meth bust leads Russell County sheriff's deputies to a cache of stolen checks from 5 counties around the valley.

38 year-old Wyndi Wilkes and 43 year-old Ralph Jones Jr. are both charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, after sheriff's deputies raided a home on Highway 80 this week.

They found 33 grams of the ice form of meth, a small amount of cocaine and ecstasy tablets, as well as $1300 in cash.

But the big find was 50 stolen checks, some from Harris, Troup and Muscogee counties.

So far, no charges have filed in relation to those stolen checks.
