LANETT, AL (WTVM) -  A Lanett teenager is still in critical condition at the Medical Center tonight with a gunshot wound to the head.

Police say his father allegedly shot him over New Years.

East Alabama authorities are still investigating the shooting that happened at the family's home.

Police tell us they got a phone call from a 19-year-old Jonathan Lyman notifying them of the incident.

Evidently, while injured, he managed to dial 911 and hang-up.

We're told the incident may end up being classified as an accident.

As of tonight, the teen's father, J.W. Lyman, is not facing any charges.
