Suspect Arrested in Auburn Double Shooting

AUBURN, AL (WXTX) - Auburn police say with the aid of the U.S. Marshals Service, they now have the man that was wanted for a double shooting that left one woman dead. 

Sunday, 25 year-old David Latravis Pitts was arrested at a motel in Carrollton, Texas.  He was wanted in connection with a January 3rd shooting at mobile home park in the 400th block of Webster Road.

Twenty-two-year-old Asia Scott was killed, while 20-year-old Cierra Cobb was injured. Police say Cobb is recovering at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika. 

Once extradited, Pitts will be charged with murder and attempted murder.
