Ralph pleads not guilty in night club shooting

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  A Columbus man accused of shooting three women at a night club pleads not guilty in court Monday morning.

Thirty-one-year-old Marion Ralph has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm following a confrontation Saturday at Ron's House Club on South Lumpkin Road.

An investigator said around 2:00 a.m. one of the victims, Felicia Key, was approached by Ralph at the bar.  He was attempting to hit on her -- but she didn't show any interest. That's when Ralph got mad and grabbed Key by the arm. Key then took a beer bottle and hit Ralph across the head. A few moments later, Ralph opened fire at the bar -- hitting three women.

Ashley Chambers was shot in the abdomen, Leoshon Peoples was hit in her left bicep, and Key was wounded in her buttocks. The three women are in stable condition.

Ralph was treated at the Medical Center and booked in the Muscogee County Jail.

Ralph made his first court appearance Monday morning. For each count of aggravated assault, Ralph has been charged $15,000 bond each, and $5,000 for possession of a firearm.

The case has been bound over to Superior Court and will go before a grand jury soon.
