LAGRANGE, GA. (WTVM) -- KIA supplier Sewon is looking to fill nearly 600 jobs over the next three years. The process began Monday morning as applicants came out to try their luck.
Company officials expect the construction on the new plant to wrap up by the end of April and practice production could start this summer. They expect to hire 300 to 400 employees over the next several months. They plan to hire at least 600 to 700 by 2012.
If you didn't get a chance to apply Monday you still have another chance. Quick Start's office is located at 303 Fort Drive in LaGrange. Applications will be accepted between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Feb. 9, 10 and 11.
The Georgia Department of Labor will be on hand at Quick Start's office to process the applications for Sewon America, a tier-one supplier to the Kia automotive assembly facility currently under construction in West Point.
