Stocking Strangler Denied New Trial

ATLANTA, Ga. (WTVM) - Carlton Gary, the so-called "Stocking Strangler," has been denied his petition for a new trial by the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.

The infamous killer's team of attorneys claim crucial evidence that could raise reasonable doubt about his guilt was omitted from a 1986 trial by jury.

Carlton was convicted of raping and killing 7 elderly women in their Wynnton area homes back in the late seventies. He used their lingerie to strangle them.
