Public responds positively to proposed alcohol ordinance

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A local alcohol ordinance is receiving some positive response from the community.

Columbus residents got a change to review the details Thursday night. Proponents says the change will bring more businesses to south Columbus where current zoning laws are keeping restaurants from moving in.

City manager Isaiah Hughley tells us organizations in north and south Columbus seemed to like the idea.

A vote is expected in council on the second Tuesday in March.
