COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  A South Columbus gas station has been busted for having a back-room full of illegal slot machines.

And now, two employees are in trouble with the law.

Mandeep Singh and Jaswinder Kaur have been arrested and charged with commercial gambling.

Columbus Police got some tips about gambling going on at the Food Pyramid on Buena Vista Road.

When agents got there, they noticed customers going out a back door and followed them.

That's when they stumbled across a hidden back room where people were gambling on video slot machines.

In all, they took eight machines and arrested Singh, the store's licensee, and Kaur who agents say was helping with the cash flow.

Police couldn't say how much money was recovered inside the slot machines.

Singh and Kaur appeared in Recorder's Court this afternoon.

Their case has been bound over to Superior Court.

Columbus Police say illegal gambling is something they are cracking down on and making cases against.

In the summer, officers say they warned about twelve businesses about having slot machines.

They tell WTVM this isn't the first time the Food Pyramid was caught having them.

Two times before, officers found them right in the front of the store and warned Singh to get rid of them.
