'Papa Bear' murder trial underway

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  More than two years after a cab driver was found dead at Fort Benning, a suspect is on trial for murder.

Three men were charged with killing Gold Star Cabs driver, Jack Horne. Horne was known by many of his counterparts as 'Papa Bear.'

One of the suspects, Fort Benning soldier, Samuel Perry is already in prison for murder -- he pled guilty at a 2007 court martial hearing.

Tuesday testimony began for another suspect, Master Michael Ramsey. In the opening statements, Ramsey's attorney claimed the real killer already pleaded guilty.
