GBI investigates Junior Marshall Program

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - An administrative assistant for Muscogee County's Junior Marshall Program is under investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Special agent, Rodney Wall, says on February 20th, the GBI received a request from Marshall Greg Countrymen, to investigate a possible misappropriations of funds within the the Junior Marshall Program.

At question is whether Aayesha Reese, the step daughter of Sanford Bishop and daughter of Columbus Municipal Court clerk Vivian Creighton Bishop, was getting paid by the Junior Marshall Program while working her job in the Fulton County District Attorney's Office.  

A preliminary review is underway, to see whether or not any criminal misconduct took place.
