Goya's dried yellow potatoes recalled for preservatives not listed on the label

ATLANTA- Goya Foods, Inc., Secaucus, N.J., is recalling its 12-ounce packages of Dried Yellow Potato (Papa Seca Amarilla), UPC 041331050562, because they contain sulfites -- a preservative -- not listed as a product ingredient.  This recall involves all production lot codes. 

The yellow potato product, distributed nationally, is produced in Peru.  It is packaged in 12-ounce plastic bags.

Those with sensitivity to sulfites run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.

Consumers who have purchased Goya brand Dried Yellow Potato may contact Goya Foods at (800) 275-4692 for a full refund.   Those with questions may call the company during normal business hours.
