VALLEY, AL (WTVM) - A Valley man has been arrested and charged with multiple sex crimes, some of which involve a minor.
30-year-old Joshua Shaun Kent was taken into custody and charged with indecent exposure, two counts of enticing a child and two counts of traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act.
In early September, a 10-year-old female reported to a school resource officer that for two days, a man pulled up next to her while she was walking to school in a black SUV and propositioned her for sex.
Officers looked for him the third day, but he did not show up.
A few days later, a 24-year-old woman reported a man in a black SUV was watching her as she walked through a public parking lot.
As she got closer to the vehicle, she noticed he had his privates visible and appeared to be fondling himself while staring at her.
She was able to get the tag number of his vehicle.
Investigators were able to create a photo line-up based on the tag number and both victims were able to positively identify Kent as the man they had seen.
Kent was arrested at his home and brought to the Valley Police Department.
He is currently sitting in the Chambers County Detention Facility as he awaits a bond hearing.
