Chattahoochee County officials say tap-water is safe to drink, water plants

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - After a recent Facebook post in a Cusseta/Chattahoochee County area watch page regarding the area’s tap-water, officials in the county are reminding residents the tap-water is safe to drink and use.

A Facebook user posted this message with a photo of what a appears to be a “dead” plant which the user caption with this message;

“Recently watered what was a beautiful plant with water from the kitchen faucet, 2 days later my plant is about dead. Be careful with the water and please don’t use for your pets.”

Less than 24 hours after the Facebook user’s post about the “dead” plant, the Unified Government of Cusseta Chattahoochee County page posted the video below with the caption; “We love our office plants and water them daily!”.

We reached out to county officials who tell us the tap-water in the area is safe to drink and use.
