COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The cause of a fatal single car accident in June 2018 in the Midland community east of Columbus has been confirmed by the Muscogee County Coroner.

Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan says the accident was caused by a medical condition.

The autopsy report indicates Kristal Freiberg, 37, died from natural causes as she suffered from a medical condition called hypertension cardiovascular disease, a contributing factor in the accident.

Freiberg’s car left the roadway as she traveled on Psalmond Road and crashed into a fence and then a tree.

The collision happened just minutes after she left the Northern Little League fields where her children played baseball.
