UPDATE: 19-year-old identified in deadly shooting on Swann St. in Columbus

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The Muscogee County Coroner’s office confirmed that one person has died following a shooting Wednesday morning.

Columbus police confirmed that 19-year-old Tony Allen was shot and killed.

The shooting took place in the 4100 block of Swann Street where Major J.D. Hawk says this street has always been quiet.

The family of the victim arrived at the scene around 11 a.m. screaming, “Why did ya’ll do this to my baby?”

The Swann Road area has been blocked off as neighbors mourn the loss of their friend and loved one.

Columbus officials have not commented on a possible suspect.
