COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The American Red Cross is taking steps to help those affected by Hurricane Michael.
The Red Cross in Columbus says it’s in the research step of assisting those affected by power outages and even damage to homes. The organization says it is assessing damage to get a better understanding of what people need in the hardest hit counties.
According to a representative with the Red Cross, there is no easy solutions as power outages affected people across the state, but this current phase is all about helping those in need.
One way the public can help those in need is by donating for resources to be provided to them.
