Chambers County K-9 unit gets new bulletproof vests

New Vests for Chambers County K-9's

CHAMBERS COUNTY, AL (WTVM) -The Chambers County Sheriff’s Office are suiting their k-9′s up with new armor.

A Massachusetts based non-profit called “Vested Interest in K-9′s” gifted the vests to the local unit dogs.

The vests are custom fitted and can protect from potential stabbings and bullets.

Chambers County Deputy, Keegan Daniel, says they are “excellent, excellent vests” and that having them is a matter of life or death for the canine officers.
