Driver airlifted from crash on Highway 431 in Salem

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A driver was airlifted from a crash on Highway 431 in Salem, Alabama Wednesday evening.
The accident happened next to the Salem Volunteer Fire Department near the Lee County Flea Market.
Traffic was blocked for about 15 minutes while first responders worked to free the driver from the vehicle.
The driver was transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional in Columbus for treatment.
