BEULAH, AL (WTVM) - The person airlifted to a local hospital following a single-vehicle accident in East Alabama Monday night has been identified.
19-year-old Case Robert Hoiness of Valley was airlifted for treatment after being ejected from the vehicle in the accident happening on Lee Road 270 in Beulah, Alabama.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, troopers were responding to a reported two-vehicle accident involving one vehicle that had left the scene on Lee Road 374.
Officers located a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle that fled the scene and attempted to stop it, but lost sight of it and were not actively pursing the vehicle.
The driver of the 2011 Toyota Tacoma, later identified as Hoiness, crashed moments later on Lee Road 270.
The number of other possible injuries have not been confirmed. First responders are currently on the scene.
The crash is continuing to be investigated.
