Dinglewood Lt. passes away; Columbus community offers condolences

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A well-known icon in the Fountain City has passed away.

Lieutenant Stevens, known for the scrambled dogs at Dinglewood Pharmacy in Columbus, passed away Wednesday afternoon. The pharmacy took to its Facebook page to make the announcement of his passing.

Stevens has helped prefect the famous dogs in Dingelwood’s kitchen for over 70 years. He started as a cook at the age of 16.

Stevens had previously been hospitalized after an apparent stroke in November 2018.

The Columbus community is sending its condolences.
