4th-grader wins Dorothy Height Elementary School’s spelling bee in Columbus

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A fourth-grade student at Dorothy Height Elementary School in Columbus won the school’s spelling bee this year.

On Friday, students gathered for the spelling bee that went eight rounds. Kenya Reese claimed the top speller award. The winning word was “clumsy.”

The runner up was Rakevia Shorter and Fox 54 anchor, Roslyn Giles, was the word pronouncer.
