COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Four suspects have been arrested for an armed robbery at a T-Mobile store in Columbus, and a police are searching for an additional suspect.
All suspects are from the Atlanta and Marietta areas, specifically Dekalb County.
The robbery happened Wednesday at the store located on Veterans Parkway. Police were called to the scene shortly before 7 p.m. According to police, the suspects took an undetermined number of cell phones from the business by force.
After the robbery, police chased the suspects to Harris County where officials there warned locals to be aware of the danger. Harris County deputies made contact with the suspects' vehicle on Interstate 185 North at Exit 25. The vehicle suffered disabling damage as the driver attempted to avoid police.
Once the vehicle was damaged and no longer drivable, all five suspects fled on foot and hid in nearby woods. Four of the suspects were taken in to custody by Harris County law enforcement and transported to the Muscogee County Jail. They are all charged with armed robbery. The fifth suspect is believed to be back in the the Dekalb County or Atlanta area.
