UPDATE: Man arrested charged with murder following death on 10th Street in Columbus

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - On Friday night, Columbus Police were called to a residence on the 2300 block of 10th street due to reports of a person being shot.

Upon the officers arrival, they discovered 27-year-old Travis Mcdaniel dead from a gunshot wound.

The Coroners office and the Homicide unit of the Columbus Police Department assumed the investigation.

On Saturday, the units arrested 54-year-old Edward Lominac for the shooting. He was charged with murder and booked into the Muscogee County Jail.

This is the third homicide in Columbus in 2019.
