COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - You may recognize the names Erin Collier, Ebony Giddens, and Joe Akridge… they’re all missing. Erin Collier went missing just over one year ago.
Her sister Sarah King-Kemp organized this ‘march for the missing’ to shine a light on how many people are still missing from Columbus.
“We need closure, and that’s all were doing this for, to bring awareness, to try to let the city know that you know hey there’s still loved ones out here missing. We’re still looking every day. We need answers, we want answers. We’re not going to stop until we get them," said King-Kemp.
People of all ages held signs, hugged, and remembered their loved ones. Sarah hopes this march will draw city official’s attention to this issue.
She also says families should have some sort of location-sharing app on their phones to stay connected.
