FORT BENNING, GA (WTVM) - Fort Benning’s plans to host their sixth annual field day for students with special needs have been halted by the weather.
Officials with Fort Benning MWR say they must make the early call based on bad weather projections to give participating schools and bus drivers ample notice.

1,200 exceptional family members from the Chattahoochee Valley were expected to come to participate.
