COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Though Wednesday morning has been more reminiscent of February, the afternoon promises much more April-like temperatures with highs climbing to the mid 70s. Expect the warming trend to continue in the days ahead with 80s even a possibility over the weekend.
Sunshine will be hard to come by over the next week though. Apart from beautiful weather today, clouds gradually move back in tomorrow ahead of rain chances returning to the forecast Thursday night. The pattern looks to remain unsettled all the way through early next week as off-and-on periods of scattered rain and thunderstorms become the norm in the forecast. Best rain coverage looks reserved for Thursday night – Friday morning and Sunday-Monday. Weather should stay warm and wet through next Tuesday before we dry out a bit by the middle of next week. Another cooldown doesn’t look imminent anytime soon though!
