COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - More than $38,000 of drugs are off the street after a drug bust by the multiple law enforcement agencies.
The Muscogee Count Sheriff’s Office say they worked alongside the Russell County Sheriff’s Office and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office to serve a search warrant in the 2900 block of 13th Ave.
39-year-old Darrell Hughley and 38-year-old Andrew Alexander were arrested when the warrant was served on Apr. 2.
Deputies say they seized:
- 377.5 grams of methamphetamine, with a street value of $37,750
- 29 grams of marijuana, with a street value of $290
- Over $50,000 in cash
- One Taurus 40 caliber handgun
Hughley and Alexander were both charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and tampering with evidence.
Both are being held in the Muscogee County Jail and have appeared in Recorder’s Court. Their cases were bound over to Superior Court without bond.
