COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A Columbus pastor who was arrested for child molestation after a police standoff last week did not appear in court Wednesday as scheduled.
Christopher Daron Smith, 47, is charged with two counts of aggravated child molestation, child molestation, sodomy, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. A not guilty plea was entered for all charges against him.
Smith’s lawyer asked that the case is bound over to Superior Court. His lawyer also asked that a judge set a bond in Superior Court.
Smith was being served eight warrants for his arrest last Friday when police say he barricaded himself inside a house with a weapon. Three charges were added as a result of the standoff.
