COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Columbus police have found their suspect in three different robberies and, as it turns out, they are the same person.
28-year-old Troy Dowda was arrested in connection with two robberies that took place on Apr. 11 and a third on Apr. 10.
The first robbery reportedly occurred at approximately 12:55 a.m. at the Circle K in the 2500 block of Manchester Expy. on Apr. 10. It was said in court that approximately $50 was stolen during this robbery.
51-year-old Richard Brogdon was also arrested in connection with this robbery.
Dowda reportedly committed a robbery at a Dollar General in the 4900 block of River Rd. in Columbus at approximately 12:19 p.m. Court testimony revealed he took approximately $60 during this robbery.
At approximately 4:15 p.m. the same day, Dowda allegedly robbed at Money Back Gas Station on Double Churches Rd., taking what court testimony said to be a little more than $300 in cash, and fled the scene on foot before being taken into custody in the area of Helen Dr.
Dowda appeared in Recorder’s Court on Apr. 12. His case was bound over to Superior Court without bond.
