LEE COUNTY (WTVM) - After deadly tornadoes ripped through the Chattahoochee valley last month many local people were left in need. This weekend, News Leader Nine heard our neighbor’s call for help and responded.
On Saturday morning, some of the WTVM crew and the Alabama Rural Ministry (ARM) joined together to help with the storm recovery in Beauregard.
Team members gathered on Lee Road 40 to help remove debris, clear fallen trees and sort through rubble for lost personal items.
ARM organizes the cleanup days at least twice a month and they say that the area is far from clear. They are encouraging people to lend a hand and some time by volunteering in the ongoing recovery efforts.
