ELMORE COUNTY, AL (WTVM) - An Opelika man has been charged in connection with a vehicle crash on Saturday, Apr. 13 that claimed the life of a 2-year-old.
28-year-old Tierra Leonard has been charged with reckless murder and assault.
The child was not wearing a child restraint system.
Both Leonard and the driver of the second vehicle were taken to hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The identity of the child has not yet been released.
Leonard is being held in the Elmore County Jail. His bond was set at $60,000 for the murder charge and $10,000 for the assault charge.
