PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) - A Phenix City man was arrested after allegedly being involved in three incidents over the course of a single day.
David Wisniske allegedly burglarized a residence on Opelika Rd. using a machete on Apr. 17 at approximately 11:20 a.m. The suspect left after the resident confronted him.
A woman also reported that at approximately 3:30 p.m. that a man, later identified as Wisniske, forced her to take him from Opelika Rd. to Dollar Tree on Hwy. 280. Once they arrived, the suspect exited the vehicle and left a machete with the victim. She also reported that he was covered in blood.
At approximately 5:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to 27th Court in reference to a man being covered in blood being seen in the area.
Wisniske then led officers on a foot chase before being arrested.
Phenix City police say further investigation linking him to other cases is being done.
Wisniske is charged with burglary, kidnapping, providing false information and other misdemeanor charges. He also had other unrelated warrants out for his arrest.
He is currently being held in the Russell County Jail.
