DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) - Dothan police area investigating a brawl and shooting that sent three people to the hospital.
“It was just gushing. Gushing blood. I’ve never seen that much blood,” said Antonie Smith.
There are still speckles of dried blood on Smith’s arm from where he was shot in the shoulder.
“It went through,” said Smith. “I was scared, but they told me not to panic, so I didn’t.”
Police confirm Smith is one of the three shooting victims from a brawl on Arlington Avenue Thursday evening. Police confirm there were multiple shooters and they are working to track down those responsible.
Neighbors say between 20-40 people were gathered in the street.. including children. There was a huge fight and then gunfire.
Smith says he was just headed home after working in the studio on his album.
“At first they started fighting and a dude just came off the corner and started shooting,” said Smith.
Two other people were hit - one was shot in both legs, another in the pelvis. The other two shooting victims are still recovering in the hospital. Police confirm a bullet also went into a home, no one was injured in the home.
Smith says the violence coming to his street is frustrating.
Police say the fight may have started over a dispute between families.
