ATLANTA, GA (WTOC) - President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania will be in Atlanta Wednesday to headline a summit on the opioid crisis.
Organizers say it’s the largest national collaboration of federal, state, and local agencies working to address the prescription drug abuse epidemic. The four-day summit runs April 22-25 and is expected to draw about 3,000 participants.
President Trump is expected to introduce new initiatives during his remarks.
This will be the President’s first visit to Georgia this year. He is scheduled to speak at 1 p.m. at the Rx Drug Abuse and Heroin Summit in downtown Atlanta.
