CUTHBERT, GA (WALB) - The Georgia Safety Fire Commissioner’s Office is investigating four fires in Randolph County, which two have been ruled arson, according to Jim Beck, insurance and safety fire commissioner.
The fires happened between Jan. 30 and April 20 and were all in the Cuthbert areas, according to a press release.
A fire that took place on the 200 block of East Dawson Street in Cuthbert does not have a ruling at the time.
“The fire at 238 East Dawson Street occurred on March 21 5 a.m. The home was 2,240 square feet in size and suffered major damage from the blaze,” Beck said in the release. “We are asking the public to provide any knowledge they have on these fires to call the arson hotline. We need your help in bringing the culprit(s) to justice.”
The Safety Fire Commissioner’s Office is assisting the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office and the Cuthbert Police Department with the investigations.
