COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The Columbus film industry continues to grow.
Eight film projects are underway in the Fountain City. These projects are part of the 20 prospective film projects to be produced in the area.
Peter Bowden with the Georgia Film Academy revealed those number to the Columbus City Council on Tuesday. Bowden said the productions should bring in nearly a $25 million impact to Columbus.
Local film maker Ty Manns, who recently filmed his movie, M"y Brother’s Keeper" in Columbus, said the movie is the first of five in the series that will be filmed in Columbus over the next couple of years.
