COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The annual Barks and Blues Festival is returning to Columbus.
Paws Humane and its sponsors are hosting the 4th annual event Saturday, May 11 at Woodruff Park. The festival is the largest annual fundraising event for Paws Humane.
The festival will feature live entertainment, including local and regional bands, a pet costume contest, food and drinks, a kids zone, and pet adoption special.
“It really started out at our shelter here for the first two years and it was a community awareness event just to let everybody know all of the services and programs we offer," said Casey Smith, director of development and marketing at Paws Humane. "Then, it slowly turned into our largest annual event fundraise,r so it helps us care for the animals that we save every single day.”
Pets are welcome, but must be on a leash.
