Synovus wraps up month-long school partnership with picnic

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Synovus Bank hosted a picnic and block party today with students from Truth Springs Academy, Fox Elementary and those who live in the North Highland neighborhood.

There was facing painting, inflatable slides, bounce houses and snacks, like popcorn and snow cones.

This all comes as the finale to Synovus’ month-long partnership with Truth Springs Academy.

“All month long, we’ve just been really purposefully investing in the school and this community, and that’s what we do,” said Alison Dowe, Synovus Chief Communications Officer. “It’s what we love. It’s what our team members are very passionate about.”

“It puts together people who don’t really have reasons to be together otherwise. And we have the chance to really look out for one another and enjoy one another’s company in a way to where we can set aside all differences,” said Director of Truth Spring Academy Rob Strickland.

All throughout the month, employees from Synovus have been serving breakfast to the students three days a week.

They have also collected and donated school supplies to the teachers.
