Temperatures Staying Warm; Rain Chances Going Up!

Derek’s Forecast!

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Moisture values will increase Wednesday and Thursday as we bring in a 10-20% coverage of showers and storms both days, mainly during the afternoon and evening. Humidity values will be going up with highs in the mid to upper 80s both afternoons. Our best coverage of rain will still be in the Friday through Sunday time-frame as a stalled out front just to our north and west becomes the focus for rain and storms. Friday and Saturday will feature a 30-50% coverage of rain during the afternoon and evening, while most of the rain will come on Sunday with a 50-70% coverage of rain and storms. Highs will be dipping on the days with the best coverage of clouds and rain. Next week looks cooler and drier with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s Monday and Tuesday with overnight lows in the 50s.
