COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Pedaling for Kids, a local non-profit that provides equipment for children with disabilities, is inviting the community to join them on a fundraiser bike ride.
Pedaling for Kids bridges the gap between what insurance companies will not pay for and what families in Columbus, Phenix City and Fort Benning have a hard time getting.
They have been able to provide iPads, handicap accessible bathrooms and vans, tracking devices and special wheelchairs and standers since their 2010 inception.
Their May 11 cycling fundraiser features four routes. They have 25 mile, 45 mile, 62 mile and 100 mile routes.
The ride begins at Midland Academy, located at 7373 Psalmond Rd.
Registration is either $40 or $55 based on the length of the ride you want to participate in.
Refreshments and registration begins at 7:00 a.m. Those choosing the 100-mile ride will begin at 8:00 a.m. and the others will commence at 9:00 a.m.
