Verdict reached in 2016 case of manslaughter outside Outlaws Saloon in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - A verdict was reached Friday in the case of a deadly 2016 fight outside of a Columbus bar.

James Perkins was found not guilty of involuntary manslaughter.

Marquis Brown died less than 24 hours after a fight outside of Outlaws Saloon on Veterans Parkway where he sustained injuries. Investigators said Brown died from blunt-force trauma.

Perkins was working as a bouncer at the bar on the night of the incident.
